Summer Internship
Week 1
Interns got to know each other and brainstormed ideas for their garden projects.
Week 2
Interns took trips to green spaces, learning soil and water science while practicing citizen science.
Week 3
Interns got hands-on experience on garden visits to local community gardens where they collaborated to help them out.
Week 4
Interns explored their environment by learning to identify trees, diagnose plants, and taking birding walks in Fort Greene Park!
Week 5
Interns were stewards of plant life in the Greene Garden, completing tree care and soil checkups on home turf while working on their project presentations.
Week 6
Interns presented their hard work on their garden projects to peers, educators, and industry professionals who they met over the course of the program!
